Rising from the ashes!

Updated: Feb 4, 2018

We are well on the way designing a new house for a family that lost thier old house to the Thomas Fire in Ventura CA. The neighborhood was built in the 1970's, and approximately half of the houses here were destroyed in the fire. The new design will be fire resistant and built using the GIGACRETE steel building system. The old house was a traditional design and had the living area on the ground floor, with the bedrooms upstairs. The ocean views are spectacular, so for the NEW design, we are placing the living areas on the SECOND floor with a large open great room, and a master suite. A wrap around deck creates an outdoor living area, all taking maximum advantage of the views. The bedrooms and a family room are on the first floor, accessing the private backyard. The deck railings are glass, opaque on the street side, and clear on the deck side, for privacy, but preserving the views.
